Penang Assam Laksa

Penang Assam Laksa

Penang Assam Laksa is ranked #7 as CNN World’s Most Delicious Foods. This is my homemade Penang Assam Laksa, a dish that I grew up eating. I have two Assam Laksa recipes here and here. Both are my family’s recipes and equally good. They pretty much taste the same but the measurements are slightly different. Enjoy!

Pisang Goreng (Fried Bananas)

Pisang Goreng (Fried Bananas)

My good friend F gave me some bananas and the secret flour mix from Malaysia and I fried up a batch of pisang goreng or fried bananas. It was the best pisang goreng (fried bananas) ever—crispy, crunchy, and airy. Absolutely delicious!

Lychee

Lychee

Lychee is a topical/sub-tropical fruit mostly found in Asia. The flesh of lychee is sweet, juicy, with a refreshing fruity note. Lychee is rich in vitamin C. On average, nine (9) lychee fruits would meet an adult’s daily recommended Vitamin C requirement. (Source: Wikipedia) The inside of the lychee reveals the juicy flesh.
